This type of classroom action research with qualitative methods is conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of four students recorded as tardy seven to thirteen times in one month based on documentation data of tardy records. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of students' tardiness records at school. In the first cycle, the results of group counseling showed that tardiness was reduced to 2-3 times a week. In the second cycle, there was a significant decrease where there were no undisciplined learners because they already had a strong commitment to comply with the agreed behavior contract. The results of this study indicate that group counseling techniques using behavior contracts are effective in reducing undisciplined behavior in coming to school at SMA Negeri 18 Surabaya.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: The requirement of parental consent in counseling minors is a controversial topic, with varying views on whether it is a necessity or simply a procedural formality. This study seeks to explore the urgency and implications of parental consent in the counseling process for minors. Objective: The objective of this study is to review the significance of parental consent in counseling minors, particularly focusing on whether it should be considered a requirement or a mere condition for counseling. This research was conducted in 2024. Method: This study employs a systematic literature review (SLR) approach, synthesizing and analyzing data from journal articles and books retrieved from academic databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Harzing, and Mendeley. Results: The findings suggest that parental consent functions as a condition rather than a strict requirement. While it determines whether counseling can take place, it does not significantly affect the actual implementation or outcomes of the counseling process. Conclusion: Counselors should prioritize the rights and beliefs of minors in the counseling process. Further research is needed to understand the extent to which minors can make decisions without parental consent. Contribution: This research provides valuable insights for counselors, offering a practical guide for navigating the ethical challenges surrounding parental consent in counseling minors.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Objective: This study aims to review the mental and psychological conditions of men who work as gigolos based on the perspective of Rogers' humanistic counseling psychology theory. Method: This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are interviews, observations, documentation studies, and audio-visual information. Data analysis is carried out by concluding to produce meaning. Results: The main factor that motivates gigolo men is economic factors. Sexual transactions with women generate money and other materials, such as giving gifts of mobile phones (cell phones), laptops, clothes, food, housing, and other goods. Gigolo men use Facebook social media to promote themselves to women. Conclusion: The solution to Rogers' humanistic counseling psychology problems regarding gigolo behavioral deviations is as follows: 1) respondents must build self-confidence to quit the gigolo profession; 2) respondents must be honest and more open about the experiences they have experienced; 3) respondents must have the responsibility to solve their problems; 4) respondents must eliminate erroneous perceptions such as fear of being poor and others; 5) Respondents must be able to accept themselves to express feelings of anger, hatred, shame, anxiety, fear, and others that the respondents initially avoided. Contribution: This research contributes to developing guidance and counseling science, especially in developing humanistic counseling psychology theory.</dc:description>

Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of religious awareness as a moderator in shaping the religious behavior of primary school students. Method: A correlation study was conducted at SMA Adiguna Bandar Lampung during the 2023/2024 academic year. The research involved 80 randomly selected students. Data were collected using religious awareness and religious behavior scales. Instrument validity was tested using the product-moment formula, while reliability was assessed with Cronbach’s alpha. Data analysis employed the product-moment formula. Result: The findings indicate a positive relationship between religious awareness and religious behavior, demonstrating that religious awareness significantly influences students' religious life. Conclusion: Religious awareness plays a critical role in moderating and shaping students' religious behavior. It suggests that fostering higher levels of religious awareness can positively influence students’ religious actions and attitudes, potentially leading to a more spiritually engaged and conscientious student body. Contribution: This study provides novel insights and scientific information regarding the mediating role of religious awareness in fostering students' religious behavior.</dc:description>

Method: The research adopts a Research and Development (R&D) approach and was conducted throughout 2023 with a sample of 30 students. Data were collected through questionnaires designed to assess levels of assertive behavior before and after the intervention. The analysis involved conducting (1) normality tests to ensure data distribution assumptions were met, and (2) dependent sample t-tests to determine the significance of changes. Result: The findings indicate a significant improvement in students' assertive behavior, demonstrating the effectiveness of the developed module-based information service. Conclusion: The study confirms that the module-based information service effectively enhances students' assertive behavior and addresses the research problem. Contribution: This research provides theoretical insights and contributes to the development of module-based information service media as an effective tool for fostering students' assertive behavior.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Working women frequently encounter high stress levels due to the combined demands of professional duties and household responsibilities. Emotional fatigue, often underestimated, plays a critical role in reducing well-being and workplace productivity. Objective: This study investigates the effectiveness of mindfulness techniques in reducing fatigue and alleviating stress among working women. Method: A qualitative case study was conducted with five professional women who also manage domestic roles. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations during a series of mindfulness sessions. Result: Fatigue was found to stem not only from workplace demands but also from emotional strain at home. Participants who felt unappreciated, described as experiencing a hypo emotional tank, tended to carry negative emotions into their work, increasing stress and lowering performance. After mindfulness practice, most participants reported improved emotional balance, enhanced self-worth, and noticeable reductions in fatigue and stress. Conclusion: Mindfulness practices help working women manage stress and fatigue by fostering self-awareness and emotional resilience. Contribution: This study offers insights into the emotional burdens faced by working women and supports mindfulness as an effective intervention for improving psychological well-being and job performance.</dc:description>

It can disrupt academic progress, harm peer relationships, and contribute to long-term behavioral problems. Objective: This study aims to investigate the influence of peer counseling on student delinquency. Specifically, it seeks to determine whether peer-based interventions can serve as an effective strategy for reducing delinquent behavior among high school students. Method: A correlational research design was employed at SMA Kartika I-2 Medan in 2022, with a sample of 40 students. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed through statistical methods to examine the relationship between peer counseling and student delinquency. Result: The results revealed that peer counseling does not have a significant impact on reducing student delinquency. Instead, other influential factors were identified, including the family environment, school climate, personal motivation, and broader social conditions. Conclusion: The study concludes that peer counseling alone is insufficient as an intervention for addressing student delinquency. More comprehensive strategies are required to tackle the root causes of delinquent behavior. Contribution: The findings contribute to the field of educational psychology and counseling by emphasizing the importance of multi-faceted intervention approaches.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: The sudden death of a parent is a deeply traumatic event for children, often causing significant emotional and psychological disruptions that hinder their development and academic performance. Objective: This study investigated the psychological and emotional impacts of sudden parental death on children. Method: Using a descriptive survey design, data were collected through the validated Sudden Parental Death Impact Assessment Questionnaire (SPDIQ), with high internal consistency (α = 0.85, 0.72, 0.81). SPSS v25 was used to analyze responses via descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation. Results: Findings showed that emotional shock, isolation, fear, and suicidal thoughts were among the most reported effects, along with depression and academic decline. Moderate, statistically significant correlations existed between sudden parental death and both emotional and psychological distress. Conclusion: The study confirms that sudden parental death has a measurable and distressing impact on children, irrespective of the background of the supporting counselor. Contribution: This research contributes empirical evidence to child grief literature by quantifying the emotional and psychological effects of sudden bereavement while also challenging prevailing assumptions about counselor effectiveness.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Objective: Emotions are an important aspect of human life that affect psychological and spiritual well-being. In Islamic counseling, understanding how to manage emotions according to Islamic teachings is expected to help individuals deal with various emotional challenges. Objective: This study aims to identify how Islam teaches the management of these emotions and provide practical guidance for counselors in providing Islamic-based counseling services. Method: The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The collected data were analysed thematically to explore the understanding of emotion management in Islamic teachings and its relevance in counseling practice. Result: Islam provides clear guidance in managing emotions: fear as a form of submission to Allah, anger that must be controlled through patience and forgiveness, sadness that is accepted with calmness and hope, and shame as a motivator for good behaviour. These concepts provide a strong foundation for a more holistic Islamic counseling approach, which integrates spiritual and psychological aspects in overcoming emotional problems. Conclusion: Emotional management in Islam significantly contributes to a more religion-based counseling approach and can be applied to improve individual well-being. Contribution: The main contribution of this study is as a practical guide for Islamic counselors, as well as introducing an approach that incorporates religious values in dealing with emotional problems. In addition, this study also encourages further development in the field of Islamic psychology, particularly in managing emotions in accordance with religious teachings.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Self-injury among adolescents is a growing mental health concern, particularly among vocational high school students facing academic, social, and personal pressures. Negative thinking patterns can lead students to adopt maladaptive coping strategies such as self-injury, highlighting the need for appropriate counseling interventions. Objective: This study aims to examine the effectiveness of cognitive restructuring techniques within the framework of Cognitive Behavioural Counseling in reducing self-injury behaviour among students at SMK Negeri 3 Makassar. Method: This research employed a quantitative, quasi-experimental design. The population consisted of 71 students, and the sample was selected purposively, yielding 10 students who reported self-injurious behaviour. The participants were divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and a self-injury behaviour scale. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and the Mann–Whitney test. Results: The experimental group showed a significant reduction in self-injury behaviour after cognitive restructuring techniques were implemented, compared to the control group. Conclusion: Cognitive restructuring techniques within Cognitive Behavioural Counseling are effective in reducing self-injury behaviour among vocational high school students. Contribution: This study contributes to the development of evidence-based counseling interventions and provides practical guidance for school counsellors in addressing self-injury behaviour among students in educational settings.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: In a multicultural society like Indonesia, traditional medicine based on cultural and religious values plays a significant role as an alternative and complement to modern medical treatment. Objective: This study aims to describe the traditional therapy by Mr. Ganjar Roso in Banyumas, Central Java, from the perspective of cross-cultural counseling. Method: The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, using data collection techniques such as direct interviews and documentation from the YouTube channel "Ganjars Ngaji Roso." This method allows for an in-depth exploration of the therapeutic practices and their underlying cultural and spiritual values. Result: The findings reveal that Mr. Ganjar's therapy extends beyond physical healing to encompass psychological, emotional, and spiritual aspects. His healing methods include sirasa (spiritual sensitivity), ilmu sabdo (prayers/mantras), and kasunyatan (spiritual silence), which are combined with Islamic practices such as dzikir, shalawat, and the recitation of Al-Fatihah. These practices reflect a holistic approach to counseling that integrates both spiritual and cultural dimensions. Conclusion: Mr. Ganjar's therapy can be viewed as a form of counseling that is holistic, contextual, and deeply aligned with the local cultural and religious values. This approach emphasises the importance of integrating local wisdom and spirituality in the healing process, making it a relevant model for cross-cultural counseling. Contribution: This research contributes valuable insights into how traditional healing practices based on cultural and religious values can serve as an effective alternative in cross-cultural counseling contexts.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: As an internal factor, self-efficacy is expected to influence the level of mental resilience in adolescents, particularly in managing the stress and pressure they face in academic and social environments. Objective: This study aims to provide deeper insight into the role of self-efficacy in supporting resilience in adolescents. Method: This study uses the Systematic Literature Review method by collecting 12 references from studies published between 2017 and 2023. The review process was conducted using a meta-synthesis approach, which allowed researchers to identify, assess, and interpret findings from various studies relevant to the research topic to answer the questions set beforehand. Result: The results of the literature analysis show a positive correlation between self-efficacy and resilience in adolescents. Adolescents with high levels of self-efficacy tend to have better abilities in facing academic, social, and emotional challenges. This study also reveals that self-efficacy plays an important role in increasing mental resilience and helping adolescents more effectively overcome their problems. Conclusion: Self-efficacy plays a significant role in shaping resilience in adolescents. Adolescents with high confidence in their abilities can better cope with difficulties and persevere in stressful situations. Contribution: This study contributes to enriching the understanding of the role of self-efficacy as a factor that supports resilience in adolescents.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Extramarital affairs remain a pervasive phenomenon across societies, with far-reaching negative socio-economic and political consequences for couples, children, and communities. Objective: The objective of this study was to systematically review the range of support services required by survivors of extramarital affairs and to synthesise knowledge that can inspire effective interventions. Method: A systematic literature review was conducted using multiple sources, including Google Scholar and other academic databases. Only peer-reviewed articles published after 2000 were included, except for seminal works providing essential conceptual foundations. In addition, publications from established international organisations with longstanding engagement in this area were critically appraised. Result: The findings indicate that survivors require diverse forms of support, such as disclosure, education and awareness programs, behavioural therapy, poverty and inequality alleviation, healthcare services, social welfare interventions, relationship satisfaction initiatives, group therapy, and counselling. Conclusion: This study concludes that holistic and multi-sectoral support services are essential to mitigate the long-term impacts of extramarital affairs. Contribution: The contribution of this review lies in consolidating fragmented knowledge, providing a comprehensive understanding of survivor needs, and offering evidence-based insights that can guide social workers, healthcare providers, and policymakers in designing effective interventions.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Self-efficacy plays a vital role in students’ academic success, yet many learners struggle with low confidence when facing academic challenges. One psychological factor believed to influence self-efficacy is self-compassion, which enables students to respond positively to failure and academic pressure. Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of self-compassion on self-efficacy among students at Ensino Básico Central Lontale. Method: This study employed a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. The population consisted of 115 students, and a sample of 54 students was selected using a proportional stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected using a self-compassion scale and a self-efficacy scale that were tested for validity and reliability, with Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.758 and 0.623, respectively, indicating acceptable internal consistency. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. Result: The results showed that both self-compassion (M = 42.91, SD = 5.67) and self-efficacy (M = 55.01, SD = 5.15) fell within the medium category. Further analysis revealed that self-compassion had a positive and significant effect on self-efficacy, accounting for 55.9% of the variance (R² = 0.559, p < 0.05). Conlusion: Self-compassion is an important predictor of students’ self-efficacy in learning. Contribution: These findings contribute to educational psychology by highlighting the role of emotional regulation in enhancing academic confidence and suggesting the importance of integrating self-compassion-based interventions in school counseling programs.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: The use of animated media in education has gained popularity due to its potential to engage university students and simplify complex concepts. However, its impact on learning motivation remains underexplored, particularly in higher education contexts. Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of animated media on student learning motivation, specifically investigating how its use influences motivation in an academic setting. Method: The research involved 79 university students from the Educational Technology program at Universitas Sebelas Maret, selected through random sampling. Two variables were tested: the use of animated media (independent variable) and learning motivation (dependent variable). A questionnaire was used as the research instrument, and its validity, reliability, and normality were tested. Results: The analysis revealed that all instrument items were valid (r calculated > r table) and reliable (Cronbach’s alpha > 0.6), with the data showing a normal distribution (p = 0.194 > 0.05). Regression analysis revealed that animated media had a significant influence on learning motivation, accounting for 78.2% of the variation (R-squared = 0.782). The F-value of 120.960 and significance of 0.000 (< 0.05) confirmed the reliability of the model. Conclusion: Animated media significantly enhances learning motivation, particularly in explaining abstract concepts. However, challenges related to animation creation skills and access to technology need to be addressed. Contribution: This study offers educators valuable insights on how to incorporate animated media to enhance learning motivation effectively.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: In the digital era, technostress poses a significant challenge to workers' mental well-being and productivity. It refers to the psychological stress from constant technology use, leading to emotional exhaustion, anxiety, and poor work-life balance. Managing its impact is crucial as technology becomes more integrated into the workplace. Objective: This study aims to explore self-care and mental well-being intervention strategies to mitigate the adverse effects of technostress among employees, proposing a conceptual model to address these challenges. Method: Based on the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) Model, the conceptual model integrates three key components: (1) technostress dimensions (technoload, techno-invasion, and techno-complexity), (2) self-care interventions (mindfulness, mindfulness training, and digital detox), and (3) mental well-being outcomes (reduced stress, increased endurance, and work-life balance). Result: The study suggests that psychological responsiveness and mind-awareness training are critical protective factors against technostress. These interventions help reduce stress, improve endurance, and promote a better work-life balance. Conclusion: This research highlights the significance of self-care strategies in mitigating technostress and enhancing mental well-being in high-tech work environments. Organizations are encouraged to adopt sustainable digital well-being policies. Contribution: This study offers valuable insights into effective interventions for managing technostress, thereby contributing to the development of digital well-being programs in the workplace.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is a chronic mental health condition characterised by persistent and excessive worry that lasts for at least six months and interferes with daily functioning. The disorder affects adolescents and adults worldwide and is frequently accompanied by psychological and somatic symptoms such as restlessness, fatigue, sleep disturbance, irritability, and impaired concentration. Because these symptoms often appear in primary health settings, accurate diagnosis remains challenging. Objective: This article reviews the aetiology, clinical characteristics, and current treatment options for GAD, highlighting emerging therapeutic approaches. Method: The study employs a narrative literature review of recent psychological and psychiatric publications on diagnostic criteria, epidemiology, pharmacological management, and cognitive-behavioural interventions. Results: Findings indicate that GAD presents with diverse symptom trajectories across the lifespan and disproportionately affects certain populations, including women and older adults. Evidence also shows that combined pharmacotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy remains the most effective treatment, while mindfulness-based and integrative therapies demonstrate promising complementary outcomes. Conclusion: Comprehensive and individualised treatment is essential for improving long-term symptom management and quality of life. Contribution: This review synthesizes evidence supporting clinical practice.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Self-Determination Theory (SDT) offers a well-established framework for understanding human motivation, psychological well-being, and maladjustment within relational contexts. Despite its strong empirical foundation, the translation of SDT into a structured counseling process model remains limited in the counseling literature. Objective: This article aims to develop Organismic Process Therapy (OPT) as a theory-grounded counseling framework that systematically translates SDT principles into a coherent therapeutic model for counseling practice. Method: Using a theoretical and conceptual analysis, this study synthesises literature from SDT, humanistic and constructivist counseling traditions, and research on motivation, trauma, attachment, and multicultural counseling to construct an integrative conceptual model. Result: The analysis proposes OPT as a counseling model in which the satisfaction of three basic psychological needs, autonomy, competence, and relatedness functions simultaneously as both the process and the content of therapy. The model is organised into three recursive phases: relational attunement, motivational clarification, and autonomy restoration, which guide counselors in facilitating autonomy-supportive therapeutic relationships. Conclusion: OPT conceptualises counseling as a relational context that restores basic psychological needs and supports clients’ movement toward volitional functioning and psychological integration. Contribution: The framework provides an integrative bridge between motivation theory and counseling practice, offering theoretical guidance for counseling practice, counselor education, and supervision while establishing a conceptual foundation for future empirical research on autonomy-supportive therapeutic processes.</dc:description>
