<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">At the elementary school level, memorizing short chapters of the Qur'an is one of the challenging materials to learn, especially for students. In students, the delivery of short surah Al_Qur'an material that has been done by teachers at school with the lecture method makes this material difficult for students to understand and remember. This study aims to determine the application of the hanifida method in improving the memorization of short surahs in SD Negeri 145 OKU students. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects in this study were third grade students, totaling 20 children at SD Negeri 145 OKU. Data collection techniques used in this study were using test and non-test techniques. Data analysis includes observation sheets for learner and teacher activities, as well as written test results. The results showed that the application of the Hanifida method in memorizing short sentences can optimize memorization results. This is indicated by significant changes in students' enthusiasm in following the learning material and the percentage of memorization results. The implementation of the study of the application of the Hanifida method to increase memorization speed took place as planned.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: The responsibility of scientists holds deep significance in the Islamic worldview, where responsibility is seen as human awareness of one's behavior and actions, whether intentional or not. Within this framework, Muslim scientists bear a broader moral and spiritual obligation beyond their professional duties. Objective: This study aims to explore and synthesize the concept of scientific responsibility from an Islamic perspective, highlighting how religious teachings shape the ethical and social obligations of Muslim scientists. Method: The study adopts a qualitative approach through thematic analysis of classical Islamic texts, scholarly interpretations, and the views of contemporary Islamic scholars, particularly focusing on the framework proposed by Dr. Yusuf Al-Qaradhawi. Result: The findings indicate that the responsibility of a Muslim scientist includes seven core elements: preserving knowledge, pursuing its depth and essence, applying it in practice, teaching it, publishing and disseminating it, preparing future generations, and dedicating all knowledge and actions to Allah alone. These elements reflect an integrated responsibility that binds scientific endeavor with religious and ethical accountability. Conclusion: The responsibilities of Muslim scientists go beyond secular academic standards, calling for the integration of faith, knowledge, and moral responsibility as a way to uphold the Islamic mission of mercy to all creation (rahmatan lil ‘alamin). Contribution: This study contributes to the discourse on Islamic ethics in science by offering a synthesized framework of responsibilities grounded in Islamic teachings. It provides guidance for Muslim scholars and educators in shaping a science that is both spiritually conscious and socially responsible.</dc:description>

Qur’anic guidance offers a timeless foundation for nurturing righteous and responsible individuals. Objective: This study aims to examine the thematic interpretation of children's education in the Qur’an, focusing specifically on Surah Luqman (verses 12–19) and Surah An-Nur (verses 58–60), in order to extract educational values and principles. Method: The research adopts a literature review and documentation approach for data collection. Data analysis was conducted through a descriptive-analytical method and thematic interpretation, focusing on identifying key messages and values related to child education in the selected verses. Result: The study reveals that the Qur’anic approach to children's education emphasizes monotheism (tauhid), ethical behavior, obedience to parents, regular worship, moral responsibility, patience, and social etiquette. Luqman's advice to his son in Surah Luqman encapsulates holistic child education, while Surah An-Nur provides guidance on modesty and respect in family interactions. Conclusion: The Qur’an provides comprehensive educational principles that are highly relevant for guiding children’s development in faith, character, and social behavior. These teachings serve as a moral and spiritual framework for nurturing future generations. Contribution: This study offers a foundational reference for the development of child education programs grounded in Qur’anic values, contributing to Islamic pedagogy and curriculum design that is both spiritually and ethically informed.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Developing an Islamic school culture is essential for shaping students' character and integrating Islamic values into the educational environment. The role of the principal is crucial in managing and sustaining this culture through strategic planning and leadership. Objective: This study aims to analyze the principal's management in fostering an Islamic school culture at SMPN 5 Kota Bengkulu. It focuses on the planning, implementation, opportunities, challenges, and evaluation of Islamic cultural activities within the school. Method: The research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were gathered from principals, teachers, staff, and students through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed descriptively using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to identify management patterns. Result: The findings reveal that the principal’s management of Islamic school culture involves both short-term and long-term planning. Implementation includes structured activities without formal written assessments, except during competitions. Students receive rewards such as money, certificates, and extracurricular points, while sanctions are applied to those who violate school rules. Conclusion: The study concludes that while the principal’s management supports Islamic cultural development, there is room for improvement in assessment methods and consistency in reinforcement strategies. Management efforts must be aligned with the goal of instilling Islamic values as daily habits. Contribution: This research contributes practical insights for school leaders in optimizing the principal’s role in Islamic school culture development. It also offers recommendations for more effective management strategies to integrate Islamic values into the school’s operational and cultural framework.</dc:description>

Religious programs in correctional settings offer potential for rehabilitation, yet their role remains underexplored. Objective: This study explores the role of religious guidance in rehabilitating juvenile inmates at LPKA. It aims to analyze the implementation process, behavioral changes, and factors influencing religious guidance programs. Method: A qualitative descriptive approach was used, involving 10 informants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Result: Findings indicate that daily religious activities, including Qur’an recitation, congregational prayers, religious lectures, and dhikr, contribute significantly to behavioral improvements. Juvenile inmates exhibited a transition from negative traits (harsh language, indifference, and misconduct) to positive behaviors (politeness, care for parents, and peaceful interactions). Conclusion: Religious activities play a crucial role in fostering moral and behavioral transformation among juvenile inmates. Self-motivation, family support, staff, and religious mentors serve as supporting factors, while self-resistance and peer influence act as challenges. Contribution: This research underscores the importance of religious guidance as an effective rehabilitation tool, providing valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and social workers in designing more effective rehabilitation programs for juvenile inmates.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: In Muslim-majority contexts, religious and cultural values significantly shape adolescents' emotional development, particularly in dating-related behaviors, attachment styles, and emotion regulation. Objective: The research aims to examine how dating status influences attachment styles and emotion regulation strategies among Muslim adolescents, considering the impact of religious beliefs and cultural norms. Method: This study employs a systematic literature review approach, synthesizing findings from research conducted between 2017 and 2024. Relevant studies were analyzed to identify patterns in attachment styles and emotion regulation strategies. Results: The findings indicate that non-dating adolescents tend to develop secure attachment patterns and primarily utilize cognitive reappraisal as their emotion regulation strategy. This is reinforced by strong family religious values and structured social support systems. Conclusion: The study underscores the significant role of religious coping mechanisms in fostering emotional resilience and reducing psychological distress among Muslim adolescents. It highlights the importance of structured support systems in shaping secure attachment and adaptive emotion regulation. Contribution: These findings have theoretical, practical, and managerial implications, suggesting the need for faith-based mental health programs, educational interventions, and further cross-cultural research on Muslim adolescent psychology.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Before the arrival of Islam, Arab society lived in the Jahiliyyah period, which was characterized by polytheism, social instability, and low moral standards. Objective: This study aims to explore and analyze social and educational changes in pre-Prophet Classical Arabia, examining the emergence of the Islamic education system during the time of the Prophet Muhammad, including the transition from informal oral traditions to a more structured, revelation-based education system. Method: The research employs a literature study approach, specifically a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Primary and secondary sources are analyzed thematically to compare the characteristics of Arab society before and after the prophethood of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, with a focus on social, economic, and educational dimensions. Results: The findings show that the arrival of Islam through the Prophet Muhammad SAW brought radical changes in the socio-economic and educational order. Education, which initially evolved from informal and oral traditions, developed into a structured system centered on revelation, literacy (including reading and writing), and early institutions such as the Kuttab and Suffah, as well as the strengthening of scientific ethics through the values of monotheism, justice, and morality. Conclusion: The shift from the pre-Islamic to the prophetic era transformed education from oral traditions to structured learning, strengthening moral foundations, expanding literacy, and redefining the link between knowledge, religion, and society. Contribution: This research provides a historical and critical perspective on the emergence of Islamic education as a response to the limitations of pre-Islamic society, framing education as a driver of social change and a conceptual basis for developing value-based curricula and modern educational models.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Objective: Teaching the Qur'an in elementary schools requires effective methods so that students are not only able to read the Qur'an, but also understand the correct reading rules (tartil and tajwid). One method that is widely used in Islamic schools is the Qiroati method. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Qiroati method in teaching the Qur'an at SDI Al-Azhar 51 in Bengkulu City. Method: This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects included the principal, Qiroati teachers, and Qiroati assistant teachers. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was tested using source triangulation, method triangulation, and theory triangulation. Results: The Qiroati method has been implemented effectively in accordance with learning procedures; however, its implementation has not been entirely optimal. This is due to limited learning time during the pandemic and a shortage of educators, especially those competent in the Qiroati method. Nevertheless, the Qiroati method is considered adequate because it is practical, easy to understand, systematic, and suitable for step-by-step learning. Students were able to recite clearly, follow the rules of tartil, and understand basic tajwid well. Conclusion: The Qiroati method is effective for teaching the Qur'an at SDI Al-Azhar 51 in Bengkulu City, although it still requires improvement in terms of learning duration and the availability of competent educators. Contribution: This study provides input for schools and educators to enhance the quality of Al-Qur'an learning by optimizing the Qiroati method, particularly in terms of learning time planning, teacher training, and a continuous evaluation system.</dc:description>

Despite its visibility, scholarly analysis of its historical development, internal dynamics, and societal impact remains limited. Objective: This study investigates the emergence, teachings, activities, contributions, and challenges of the Salafiyyah movement in the region. Method: A qualitative case study design was adopted, integrating library research and fieldwork. Data were collected through oral interviews, questionnaires, and review of published and unpublished materials, drawing on both primary and secondary sources. A multidisciplinary analytical framework combining historical, phenomenological, and sociological approaches was employed. Result: The findings indicate that Salafiyyah has contributed substantially to Islamic scholarship, Qur’anic memorization, the establishment of madāris and mosques, educational development, and structured da‘wah activities. However, the movement also faces factional divisions and sustained debates with other Islamic groups over doctrinal and organizational issues. Conclusion: Salafiyyah remains a dynamic and influential reform movement in South-Western Nigeria. Contribution: This research contributes to existing literature by providing a systematic, context-based analysis of Salafiyyah’s contemporary significance within a pluralistic Muslim society</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Islamic education in East Java has long been dominated by traditional pesantren affiliated with Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), which has formed a strong socio-religious and cultural foundation. In recent years, however, the re-emergence of Kuttab as a classical Islamic educational model has introduced a new dynamic within this established landscape. Objective: This study aims to analyse the development of Kuttab institutions in East Java, examining their characteristics, challenges, and adaptation strategies within the dominant pesantren culture. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and review of relevant scholarly literature. Result: The findings indicate that Kuttab has gained positive acceptance among parents seeking Qur’anic and character-based education for early-age children. Nevertheless, the institutions face challenges related to legal recognition, curriculum standardisation, teacher professionalism, infrastructure, and socio-cultural perception.  Conclusion: The study concludes that sustainable development of Kuttab requires regulatory reinforcement, contextual curriculum development, professional capacity building, and institutional collaboration. Contribution: This study contributes to the discourse on contemporary Islamic education by providing contextual insights into the interaction between revitalised classical models and entrenched traditional educational systems in Indonesia.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Surah Al-Hujurat is widely recognised as a foundational chapter of Islamic social ethics, yet many interpretations emphasise legal rulings rather than its underlying moral architecture. Objective: This study aims to construct a value-based exegesis that identifies the core ethical principles embedded in the surah as a framework for community formation. Method: Employing thematic and deductive textual analysis, the study systematically examines the verses by organising them into three relational dimensions: human interaction with divine authority, intra-community relations among believers, and engagement with broader humanity. Results: The findings demonstrate that the surah articulates a coherent ethical system grounded in respectful communication, the verification of information, conflict mediation, the protection of dignity, and the safeguarding of privacy. It further establishes piety as the sole criterion of human worth, transcending lineage, ethnicity, and social status. Conclusion: Surah Al-Hujurat offers a comprehensive and enduring moral blueprint for cultivating just and cohesive societies. Contribution: This study advances a structured model of value-based exegesis that enriches contemporary Islamic ethical theory and communal discourse.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Hadith studies in Indonesia have developed through two parallel epistemological traditions: the pesantren tradition rooted in sanad transmission and turāth literature, and the modern academic tradition within Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKI), which emphasises scientific criticism and interdisciplinary analysis. This dual development reflects society’s need for a locally relevant yet globally standardised understanding of hadith. Objective: This study aims to analyse the epistemological construction of hadith studies in Indonesia by examining their historical development, the epistemological characteristics of pesantren and PTKI traditions, and their integrative model in shaping contemporary hadith scholarship. Method: A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through library research, utilising historical analysis, content analysis, and comparative analysis of relevant literature from both traditions. Results: The integration of hadith epistemology does not occur through formal curriculum unification, but through the intellectual mobility of scholars and academics who transfer pesantren-based sanad methods into modern academic contexts. This process creates a distinctive scholarly pattern that combines the rigour of traditional transmission with critical academic approaches, producing contextual and applicable hadith studies. Conclusion: The epistemology of hadith studies in Indonesia demonstrates a flexible, mutually enriching integrative model that strengthens both moral and intellectual legitimacy at the national and global levels. Contribution: This study contributes to the development of a conceptual framework that can inform curriculum design, educational strategies, and future research in hadith studies and Islamic scholarship.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: The Quranic challenge (Tehaddi) has traditionally been interpreted through linguistic excellence, rhetorical beauty, and semantic depth. However, the visual and structural organisation of the Quranic text has received relatively limited scholarly attention as a potential dimension of its inimitability. Objective: This study aims to explore whether the symmetric and ordered visual structures found across different Mushaf writing traditions offer an additional perspective on the Quranic challenge. Method: The research employs visual symmetry analysis on three Mushaf models: the Alifi Mushaf (K1), the Husrev Mushaf (K2), and the Hunsari Mushaf (K3). Sample pages from Surah Al-Baqarah, verses 164–247, were examined to identify recurring structural patterns. As a comparative, anecdotal test, the literary text A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens was analysed to assess whether a similar symmetry could be reproduced in non-Quranic texts. Results: The findings reveal consistent multi-layered symmetry across the three Mushaf models: line-initial letter symmetry in the Alifi Mushaf, vertical word alignment in the Husrev Mushaf, and mirror-based page symmetry in the Hunsari Mushaf. These patterns persist across hundreds of pages. Conclusion: The Quran can therefore be viewed not only as a linguistic text but also as a visually structured textual system. Contribution: This study introduces a visual-structural perspective that complements traditional discussions of Quranic inimitability.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: The development of society during the Ayyubid Dynasty marked a significant phase in the history of Islamic civilisation following the decline of the Fatimid Dynasty. Founded by Salahuddin al-Ayyubi, this dynasty is recognised not only for its success in confronting the Crusades but also for its role in establishing a more stable social, economic, and religious order. Objective: This study aims to analyse the dynamics of societal development and the factors influencing it. Method: The research employs a historical method with a qualitative approach, analysing primary and secondary sources, including chronicles, administrative documents, literary works, travel records, and archaeological and numismatic findings. Results: The findings indicate that political stability contributed to stronger governance and the enforcement of law. In the economic sector, the development of agriculture, trade, and craft industries enhanced public welfare. Support for education through madrasas and bimaristans also promoted intellectual growth. Conclusion: This study concludes that the Ayyubid Dynasty succeeded in shaping a stable and productive society. Contribution: This research serves as a scholarly reference for understanding the socio-economic and intellectual development of Muslim societies during the Ayyubid period, and provides a historical foundation for further studies in Islamic civilisation.</dc:description>
