<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Nowadays, many new radical and separatist ideologies are a challenge for the Indonesian people. The reality of religious radicalism in Indonesia is increasingly troubling, especially after the reformation. The purpose of the research is to reveal pesantren education in actualizing the values of Pancasila through religious moderation in the Pesantren of Bengkulu City. This type of descriptive qualitative research is used to examine how pesantren teach santri (students) to live the values of civil society through religious moderation. The results of research on pesantren education in actualizing the values of Pancasila through religious moderation are that moderation education in the learning curriculum of Islamic boarding schools can be one way to maintain the values contained in Pancasila. In addition to the existence of religious moderation education, other spiritual activities can also shape human moral personality so that it can become a harmonious and peaceful being. The contribution of this research is as a novelty and enrichment material both theoretically and practically related to the urgency of pesantren education in actualizing Pancasila values through religious moderation.</dc:description>

Bantaeng. This research method uses the type of field research. This research was conducted in 2021. Data collection methods through data research using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through three stages, namely (1) data reduction; (2) data exposure; and (3) conclusion drawing. The results revealed that the purpose and urgency of religious moderation is to create balance, peace, and prosperity. Because every religion or understanding teaches good values and upholds humanity, religious moderation is very important because the tendency to practice religious teachings is sometimes excessive and often leaves one-sided truth and considers itself the most correct while others are wrong. So, we need to know that the purpose of religious moderation is to create a society always at peace without having to look at each other.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Indonesia's rich religious, ethnic, and cultural diversity is a source of pride but also presents challenges to social harmony. The rise of extremism and intolerance highlights the urgent need for a balanced and inclusive approach to religious life. Objective: This study aims to analyze the urgency of religious moderation within Indonesia's diverse society and to identify the potential consequences if such moderation is neglected. Method: A qualitative method was employed, using a library research approach to examine relevant literature, policy documents, and scholarly publications. Result: The findings indicate that without a moderate approach to religious life, the risks of social conflict and national disintegration increase significantly. Religious moderation has proven effective in reducing extremism, fostering interfaith dialogue, and strengthening the values of tolerance and unity within the framework of Pancasila and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Conclusion: Religious moderation plays a critical role as a middle path that can help mitigate the tensions arising from Indonesia's rich religious diversity. Religious moderation, deeply rooted in Cultural heritage, bridges differing religious practices and local wisdom. Contribution: The contribution of this research lies in offering a deeper conceptual understanding of the importance of religious moderation as a preventive strategy for maintaining national integration and as a foundation for inclusive educational and social policy development.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: The dominance of conservative religious narratives on social media often triggers exclusivism and intolerance, especially among the younger generation. On the other hand, digital media such as podcasts are beginning to be used as alternative spaces for conveying religious messages reflectively and inclusively. Objectives: This study aims to analyse the representation of religious moderation values in the podcast as a form of reflective and contextual digital religious communication. Method: This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with two analytical methods: thematic analysis using Taguette software and John Fiske's semiotic analysis as a theoretical framework for interpreting symbols and messages in podcast dialogues. Results: The eight central values of religious moderation, tawassuth, tasamuh, i'tidal, syura, anti-violence, tathawwur wa ibtikâr, tasdid, and wasathiyyah, are symbolically and contextually represented through reflective narratives, equal communication, and empathetic discussions between the speakers. Conclusion: Escape podcast episode 5 represents an adaptive narrative of religious moderation, bridging conservatism and religious liberalism, and opening up space for negotiating the meaning of Islam that is more relevant to the lives of the younger generation. Contribution: This study contributes to the development of literature on religious moderation and digital Islamic communication studies and serves as a reference for producing inclusive and contextual digital da'wah content in the era of media transformation.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Conceptual ambiguity around religious moderation and tolerance persists in Indonesia’s plural society, complicating both discourse and practice. Objective: To clarify the meanings and limits of religious moderation and tolerance through a focused review. Method: This library research, conducted in 2023, used documentation to gather sources and applied Miles and Huberman’s stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Results: The literature converges on moderation as a middle path that aligns religious commitment with local wisdom and civic coexistence. Tolerance is framed as respectful acceptance of difference within legal and ethical boundaries. Moderation delineates boundaries that avoid both relativism and extremism while encouraging reflective dialogue, empathy, and shared responsibility. Conclusion: Religious moderation functions as a culturally grounded strategy for sustaining social harmony in Indonesia, enabling principled faith practice alongside mutual respect in daily life. Contribution: This review synthesizes dispersed scholarship into a coherent conceptual map, proposes working definitions and limits suited to the Indonesian context, and offers a baseline for curriculum design, policy guidance, community programming, and subsequent empirical testing, including indicators to inform evaluation and future comparative studies across regions and media.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Strengthening religious moderation from elementary school is crucial for maintaining tolerance and preventing potential socio-religious conflicts. SDN 02 Bedono is a relevant context for examining how the values of moderation are instilled in upper-grade students. Objective: To analyze the form, process, and effectiveness of strengthening religious moderation in upper-grade students at SDN 02 Bedono as an effort to maintain tolerance and prevent socio-religious conflicts. Method: Qualitative research with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews and observations of learning practices and school culture, and then analyzed thematically to identify patterns of strengthening moderation values. Results: Students demonstrated a practical understanding of religious moderation that was internalized in their daily behavior. The reinforcement of values took place through a combination of formal approaches (learning activities and school programs) and habituation, with teachers playing the role of moral and social role models. Conclusion: Elementary schools hold a strategic position in shaping tolerant character; at SDN 02 Bedono, religious moderation has become an integral part of the school's social norms, as reflected in the interactions between students. Contribution: This study presents a model of good practice for strengthening religious moderation at the elementary school level, which can be replicated or adapted by other educational institutions to instill national values and promote harmony from an early age.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: This study examines the strategies employed at Pondok Pesantren Makrifatul Ilmi in South Bengkulu to prevent radicalism, a growing concern in educational institutions, especially Islamic boarding schools. Objective: The primary objective is to identify the steps taken by the pesantren to combat radicalization and to assess the factors that support and hinder these efforts. Method: A descriptive qualitative approach was employed to collect data through interviews, observations, and documentation. Result: The findings reveal that the pesantren implements three key strategies: religious functions, educational activities, and social engagement. Supporting factors include heightened student awareness, strong internal cooperation within the pesantren, and active parental involvement. However, the study also highlights several challenges, including students' diverse social backgrounds, varying interpretations of nationalism, and the pervasive influence of technology. Conclusion: While the pesantren's strategies for preventing radicalism are effective, overcoming these barriers requires sustained cooperation and adaptability. Contribution: This research contributes to a deeper understanding of counter-radicalism strategies in pesantren and offers insights into the unique challenges faced by Islamic educational institutions in South Bengkulu.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Indonesia’s multicultural society requires religious moderation to maintain harmony and prevent extremism. As a non-formal Islamic educational institution, Majelis Taklim plays a strategic role in fostering moderate religious attitudes and strengthening social cohesion at the grassroots level. Objective: This study aims to analyse the role, strategies, and contributions of Majelis Taklim in instilling religious moderation values within the Griya Sidomulyo community, Pekanbaru City. Method: This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving administrators, preachers, congregants, and community leaders. Data were analysed through reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by triangulation to ensure validity. Results: The findings indicate that Majelis Taklim actively promotes moderation values through regular religious study sessions, thematic discussions, and social programs such as Jumat Berkah (Friday Charity Program) and Didikan Subuh (Early Morning Religious Education Program). These activities cultivate tolerance, balance, mutual respect, and social solidarity. Supporting factors include active participation, qualified preachers, and strong community engagement, while financial constraints and coordination challenges remain obstacles. Conclusion: Majelis Taklim functions as an effective grassroots institution for cultivating religious moderation and strengthening social harmony in heterogeneous urban communities. Contribution: This study provides empirical evidence of Majelis Taklim’s strategic role as a community-based model for promoting inclusive and moderate Islamic education.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Strengthening religious moderation in Indonesia’s pluralistic society requires the optimisation of wisdom as a durable foundation for social harmony. One of the most deeply rooted cultural traditions reflecting collective solidarity is gotong royong (cooperation). In the context of increasing social fragmentation, identity politics, and religious polarisation, our cultural values are becoming increasingly relevant to reinforce inclusive and balanced religious expressions. Objective: This study aims to analyse the theoretical relationship between the tradition of gotong royong and religious moderation, and to explain how embedded cultural values shape inclusive, tolerant, and socially responsible religious practices. Method: This research employs a qualitative literature review, systematically examining 15 relevant peer-reviewed articles. The collected data were analysed analyzedntent analysis techniques to identify recurring themes, conceptual patterns, and theoretical linkages between cultural practices and religious moderation. Result: The findings reveal that gotong royong functions not merely as a communal activity but also as a value-laden social mechanism that internalises solidarity, equilibrium, and principles of collective responsibility, which resonate strongly with religious moderation. It also strengthens social cohesion and mitigates potential conflict in multicultural settings. Conclusion: The tradition of gotong royong constitutes a concrete manifestation of religious moderation grounded in local wisdom and plays a strategic role in sustaining social harmony. Contribution: This study reinforces a conceptual framework integrating local culture and religious moderation as a contextual, culturally embedded, and sustainable social strategy.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Indonesia’s cultural diversity creates complex challenges for sustaining religious harmony. The film Tanda Tanya (?) depicts interfaith interactions and social tensions that reflect these challenges in contemporary Indonesian society. Objective: This study examines how the film represents religious moderation and principles of good governance, emphasising the relationship among individual behaviour, community values, and social stability. Method: A qualitative content analysis was conducted, focusing on scenes, dialogues, character interactions, and conflict patterns to identify indicators of moderation and governance practices. Results: The film illustrates tolerance, interfaith cooperation, non-violence, and respect for human dignity, alongside community participation, fairness, and rejection of discrimination. Unresolved conflicts in the narrative reveal vulnerabilities and social tensions when moderation values are absent. Conclusion: Religious moderation provides a foundation for inclusive, stable, and effective social governance, while its absence can lead to imbalance and conflict. Contribution: This study highlights how film can serve as a reflective and educational medium, offering insights and strategies to promote religious moderation and support good governance in Indonesia’s multicultural public sphere.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: This article is grounded in the reality that interfaith dialogue practices in plural societies tend to be formalistic, elitist, and confined to theological discourse, and therefore have not fully addressed the challenges of intolerance, social polarisation, and disinformation. Objective: This study aims to reconstruct the concept of interfaith dialogue from the perspective of religious moderation to make it more inclusive, contextual, and applicable. Method: The research employs a qualitative method with a constructive-critical approach, grounded in a literature review, and is analysed through stages of deconstruction, critical-comparative analysis, and conceptual reconstruction. Result: The findings indicate the need for a shift in the orientation of dialogue from symbolic-theological to social-transformative, integrating the values of tawazun (balance), tasamuh (tolerance), i‘tidal (justice), and national commitment. The proposed dialogue model is inclusive and participatory, relational and empathetic, and adaptive to contemporary challenges, including those in the digital sphere. Conclusion: Reconstructing interfaith dialogue based on religious moderation can strengthen social cohesion and national harmony. Contribution: This study contributes by reinforcing a theoretical framework of dialogue as a relational paradigm and by offering a conceptual model that may serve as a reference for developing interreligious harmony programs and religious moderation policies.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Religious polarisation on social media has become a serious challenge in plural societies, marked by the proliferation of hate speech, misinformation, and exclusive religious interpretations that intensify social fragmentation. Objective: This study aims to analyse Qur’anic values as a foundation for religious communication ethics in responding to the dynamics of religious polarisation in digital spaces. Method: The research employs a qualitative approach using thematic exegesis (maudhu‘i). The data are derived from Qur’anic verses related to the principles of moderation (wasathiyah), freedom of religion, human pluralism, tabayyun (information verification), ethics of dialogue, and peaceful relations with non-Muslims. The analysis is conducted through a comparative examination of classical and contemporary exegeses to identify their contextual relevance within the social media ecosystem. Result: The findings indicate that these Qur’anic values establish a normative framework that promotes moderate, inclusive, and verification-based communication while preventing the escalation of digital conflict. Conclusion: The Qur’an serves as a comprehensive ethical guide to reducing religious polarisation in digital spaces by fostering dialogue, tolerance, and responsibility. Contribution: This study enriches contextual exegesis in the digital era and offers a Qur’an-based framework for the ethics of religious communication to address religious polarisation on social media.</dc:description>
