Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of students' learning to read the Qur'an after the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This research is a class action research conducted in 2 cycles. Each cycle was conducted once a meeting starting with the stages of action planning, implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model of action observation and reflection. Data collection methods are carried out by means of observation / observation, interviews and documentation, Data analysis is carried out by comparing the results of student learning activities in cycle 1 and cycle 2 with descriptive techniques. The results showed that learning to read the Qur'an of students in class 2B MIN2 Bengkulu Selatan has increased, this is indicated based on the increase in learning outcomes in reading the Qur'an from cycle 1 to cycle 2 increased by 5% from 62% to 67% with only 4 days.
