Abstract

The quality of lecturer research is one of the important indicators in assessing the quality of higher education. In the current era of information and technology, digital libraries are often the main tool for lecturers in accessing the literature needed for research. However, there is less than optimal utilization, which can affect lecturer research. So this journal research is to analyze various factors that affect the quality of lecturer research through the use of digital libraries. The method used by researchers is a literature study, namely collecting and analyzing related literature such as articles, journals, books, and other academic documents if needed. This study concludes that factors that affect the quality of lecturer research with the use of digital libraries such as information literacy skills, access to technology, institutional policies, and support from librarians also play a very important role in maximizing the potential of digital libraries in improving the quality of lecturer research. The results are divided into two factors, namely the convenience factor where conditions make it easier for researchers to find, manage, and utilize available information and technology and the obstacle factor where the individual conditions of lecturers in the research process. For good quality, there is comprehensive training on the use of digital libraries. Lecturers who are well trained in utilizing digital libraries can produce scientific works that are of higher quality and relevant to current developments in the academic field.
