ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGES (APC) AND WAIVER POLICY

A. ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGES (APC)
To sustain our open-access publishing model and maintain high editorial standards, the International Journal of Counseling and Psychotherapy (IJCP) applies an Article Processing Charge (APC). The APC covers the cost of: (1) Editorial management and peer-review administration; (2) Provision of online submission and review systems; (3) Professional layout and typesetting; (4) DOI registration and metadata management; (5) Article hosting and website maintenance; and (6) Similarity checking (Turnitin).

  • Submission and Review Policy: There are no submission fees and no charges during the peer-review process. The APC is charged only after the manuscript has been editorially accepted.
  • APC Amount: The Article Processing Charge for accepted manuscripts is IDR 250,000.

Payment details will be sent to the corresponding author upon editorial acceptance. Publication will proceed once full payment has been received.

B. WAIVER POLICY: 
International Journal of Counseling and Psychotherapy (IJCP) firmly believes that financial constraints should never prevent the publication of high-quality scientific research. Therefore, we provide a robust waiver policy for authors who face genuine financial hardship.

  • Waiver Criteria: Authors who face financial constraints, lack institutional funding, or are undergraduate/graduate students conducting independent research may apply for a partial or full waiver of the publication fee.
  • How to Apply: Requests for a waiver must be submitted during the initial manuscript submission process. Authors should upload a formal waiver request letter as a supplementary file or email it directly to the Editor-in-Chief. Each request will be evaluated independently on a case-by-case basis by the Editorial Board.
  • Editorial Independence: Applying for a financial waiver will never influence editorial decision-making or the peer-review process. The scientific evaluation of manuscripts remains completely separate from financial matters to ensure absolute fairness and research integrity.
