AIMS, FOCUS AND SCOPE

AIMS OF IJCP:
International Journal of Counseling and Psychotherapy (IJCP) aims to disseminate high-quality research findings, support evidence-based theory and practice, and provide an academic platform for exploring, sharing, and discussing critical ideas, strategic and contemporary issues, innovations, global trends, implications, and scientific contributions in the field of counseling and psychotherapy.

FOCUS AND SCOPE:
International Journal of Counseling and Psychotherapy (IJCP) focuses on investigating critical ideas, strategic and contemporary issues, global trends, evidence-based theory and practice, as well as innovations and developments (novelties) in the field of counseling and psychotherapy. IJCP accepts original manuscripts in the form of research articles, literature reviews, conceptual papers, case studies, and technical papers related to character education, including but not limited to the following areas:

  • Counseling: The application of counseling models and approaches in schools and higher education includes: counselor professional education, guidance and counseling services, cross-cultural counseling, crisis and trauma counseling, academic counseling, career counseling, Islamic education guidance and counseling, and counseling for students with special needs, etc.
  • Psychotherapy: Psychotherapy Theories and Approaches; Evidence-Based Interventions; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT); Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT); Psychodynamic Therapy; Humanistic Therapy; Family and Couples Therapy; Trauma-Focused Therapy; Crisis Intervention; Tele-Psychotherapy; Cross-Cultural Psychotherapy; Psychotherapy for Substance Use and Personality Disorders.
