AIMS, FOCUS AND SCOPE

AIMS OF IJITL:
Indonesian Journal of Innovative Teaching and Learning (IJITL) aims to disseminate, promote, and share high-quality research findings, support evidence-based theory and practice, and provide an academic platform for exploring, sharing, and discussing critical ideas, strategic and contemporary issues, innovations, global trends, implications, and scientific contributions in the field of teaching and learning innovation.

FOCUS AND SCOPE:
Indonesian Journal of Innovative Teaching and Learning (IJITL) focuses on investigating critical ideas, strategic and contemporary issues, global trends, evidence-based theory and practice, as well as innovations and developments (novelties) in the field of education (teaching and learning innovation). IJITL accepts original manuscripts in the form of research articles, literature reviews, conceptual papers, case studies, and technical papers related to education (teaching and learning innovation), including but not limited to the following areas:

  • Teaching and Learning Innovation: Focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating new teaching models that contribute to the advancement of education at various levels (K–12 and higher education).
  • Teaching and Learning Implementation: Focuses on the practical application of teaching strategies that ensure effective learning and engagement across diverse educational contexts.
  • Pedagogy and Curriculum Design: Focuses on the development and alignment of curricula to meet the needs of diverse learners, with an emphasis on competency-based and outcomes-based education.
  • Assessment and Evaluation of Teaching and Learning: Focuses on classroom assessments, program evaluations, and performance assessments to improve teaching practices and learning outcomes.
  • Learning Theories and Approaches: Focuses on examining both contemporary and classical learning theories (e.g., cognitive, behaviorist, constructivist) and how they inform teaching and learning strategies.
  • Teaching and Learning Models: Focuses on various teaching models that emphasize student-centered, inquiry-based, and collaborative learning methods.
  • Teaching Methods & Techniques: Focuses on investigating active learning, project-based learning, inquiry-based learning, and other evidence-based teaching strategies aimed at fostering deeper understanding and engagement.
  • Learning Materials and Media: Focuses on the development and validation of teaching materials, resources, and media designed to support diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Technology and Digital Learning in Teaching and Learning: Focuses on examining the integration of digital tools, including AI-assisted technologies, in teaching, learning, and assessment processes.
  • Global Trends and Contemporary Issues in Teaching and Learning: Focuses on emerging global trends in education, such as 21st-century skills, inclusivity, equity, and the role of technology and social change in reshaping teaching and learning.

By following the ASJC system, IJITL ensures that its content is clearly structured, making it easier for authors to access and utilize information relevant to the Focus and Scope of IJITL.
