Manuscripts that do not align with the journal’s focus and scope will be desk rejected. Only manuscripts that meet JISMB standards will proceed to peer review.

Editorial Process and Decision-Making Policy: All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to evaluate their suitability, originality, and compliance with the journal’s scope and submission guidelines. Manuscripts that pass this stage proceed to peer review. The Editorial Team makes the final publication decision (acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection) based on reviewers’ recommendations, scholarly merit, methodological rigor, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope, in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics and editorial policies.

Publication System and Editorial Workflow: JISMB uses Open Journal Systems (OJS), an open-source journal management and publishing platform developed, maintained, and freely distributed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) under the GNU General Public License (GNU GPL). The platform supports the entire editorial and publishing workflow, including manuscript submission, peer review, editorial management, copyediting, layout editing, and online publication. By utilizing OJS, JISMB promotes efficient journal management, transparent editorial processes, and enhanced accessibility and visibility of scholarly content worldwide.
