DIRECT MARKETING POLICY

The Indonesian Journal of Guidance and Counseling Studies (IJGCS) adheres to the highest ethical standards in all its communication and promotional activities. To maintain the integrity of the journal and protect the academic community from predatory practices, IJGCS implements the following direct marketing policy:

1. Ethical Communication
Any direct marketing initiatives, including "Call for Papers" announcements, newsletters, or invitations to submit manuscripts, must be well-targeted, reasonable, and non-intrusive. IJGCS strictly prohibits any form of aggressive, deceptive, or misleading marketing practices.

2. Accuracy of Information
All promotional materials distributed by the journal, whether via email, institutional networks, or social media, must present accurate, transparent, and up to date information regarding the journal's aims and scope, editorial board, peer review process, open access model, and indexing status. Under no circumstances will IJGCS misrepresent its metrics or indexing credentials to attract submissions.

3. Independence of Editorial Process
Direct marketing activities are completely segregated from the editorial decision-making process. Editorial decisions are based solely on the academic merit, methodological soundness, and relevance of the manuscript, and are never influenced by marketing campaigns or solicitation efforts.

4. Opt-Out and Privacy Rights
IJGCS respects the privacy of researchers, authors, and reviewers. All marketing emails include a clear and accessible option to unsubscribe or opt out of future communications. Personal contact information collected for journal dissemination will be treated in strict accordance with our Privacy Statement and will never be shared with or sold to third parties for commercial purposes.
