This study aims to determine the effect of academic procrastination on the learning outcomes of grade VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Padaherang. The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design involving a sample of 163 grade VII students. Data were collected using an academic procrastination scale questionnaire based on Ghufron's theory and student learning outcome score logs, which were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed that the majority of students namely 74% were in the low category of academic procrastination, while the learning outcomes of most students namely 64% were in the moderate category. Simple linear regression testing revealed a significant negative effect of academic procrastination on learning outcomes with a significance level of 0.000 less than 0.05, a correlation value R of 0.366, and an influence contribution of 13.4%. It can be concluded that although its contribution is relatively small, academic procrastination still significantly affects student learning achievement. This study contributes to mapping the extent of task postponement influence for guidance and counseling teachers in designing procrastination prevention services in schools.
