Indonesian Journal of Character Education Studies (IJCES) was established to foster academic excellence, moral and character education research, and pedagogical innovation. Published by Academia Edu Cendekia Indonesia (AEDUCIA), IJCES has continually evolved to meet international publishing standards, ethical frameworks, and indexing requirements. Below is the historical progression and key operational milestones of IJCES since its inception:

• August 07, 2024: Indonesian Journal of Character Education Studies (IJCES) was officially assigned the Online ISSN (e-ISSN): 3063-0401 by ISSN National Centre for Indonesia (BRIN), based on Decree No. 30630401/II.7.4/SK.ISSN/08/2024.
• August 15, 2024: Indonesian Journal of Character Education Studies (IJCES) was officially assigned the Print ISSN (p-ISSN): 3063-1513 by ISSN National Centre for Indonesia (BRIN), based on Decree No. 30631513/II.7.4/SK.ISSN/08/2024.
• DOI Actived: Activation of Digital Object Identifier (DOI) Prefix 10.64420/ijces by Crossref under Publisher Member ID: : 53855, starting from Volume 1, Issue 2 (2024).
• December 24, 2025: Formalization of a Cooperation Agreement between Academia Edu Cendekia Indonesia (AEDUCIA) and the Institute for Research and Community Service / Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM), Universitas Islam Negeri Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu, regarding the joint management and scientific article publishing for Indonesian Journal of Character Education Studies (IJCES).
