The International Journal of Counseling and Psychotherapy (IJCP) was first established in 2024 as an open-access scholarly journal in the field of counseling and psychotherapy. The journal is published triannually (April, August, and December) by Academia Edu Cendekia Indonesia (AEDUCIA).

August 24, 2024 : The first issue of International Journal of Counseling and Psychotherapy (IJCP) appeared in August 2024, Volume 1, Issue 1, August 2024.
December 6, 2024 : IJCP was officially assigned its Print ISSN (3064-271X) by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Indonesian ISSN National Center). ISSN Decree Number: 3064271X/II.7.4/SK.ISSN/12/2024.
December 18, 2024 : IJCP was officially assigned its Print ISSN (ISSN IJCP was officially assigned its Online ISSN (3064-3465) by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Indonesian ISSN National Center). ISSN Decree Number: 30643465/II.7.4/SK.ISSN/12/2024.
December 24, 2025 : The publisher of the International Journal of Counseling and Psychotherapy (IJCP) formally established an academic collaboration with the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Universitas Islam Negeri Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu. This collaboration aims to strengthen the quality of editorial management, peer review processes, and scholarly publishing, as well as to enhance research dissemination and academic networking in the field of counseling and psychotherapy.
