EDITORIAL PROCESS
The International Journal of Counseling and Psychotherapy (IJCP) implements a rigorous double blind peer review process to ensure the highest standards of academic quality, integrity, and originality. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their relevance, originality, compliance with submission guidelines, and alignment with the journal’s scope and ethical standards.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to an editor and proceed to the peer review stage, where they are evaluated by independent reviewers. Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editor makes a decision, which may include acceptance, revision, or rejection. Revised manuscripts may undergo further evaluation before a final decision is made by the Editor in Chief. Accepted manuscripts then proceed to the production stage, including copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading, before final publication.
The entire editorial workflow from submission, review, revision, editing, to publication is managed through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, ensuring a transparent, efficient, and systematic process.
