About the Journal

Indonesian Journal of Research in Islamic Studies (IJRIS) is an open-access academic journal published periodically to provide a platform for researchers, scholars, professionals, practitioners, lecturers, religion teachers, and university students to share, advance, and disseminate state-of-the-art research findings in the field of Islamic studies. The journal aims to disseminate and promote high-quality research findings, support evidence-based theory and practice, and serve as an academic forum for researchers, academics, professionals, practitioners, lecturers, Islamic studies teachers, and university students to explore, share, and discuss critical ideas, strategic issues, innovations, novelties, implications, and scientific contributions in the field of Islamic studies.

AIMS OF IJRIS:
Indonesian Journal of Research in Islamic Studies (IJRIS) aims to disseminate high-quality research findings, support evidence-based theory and practice, and provide an academic platform for exploring, sharing, and discussing critical ideas, strategic and contemporary issues, innovations, global trends, implications, and scientific contributions in the field of islamic studies.

FOCUS AND SCOPE:
Indonesian Journal of Research in Islamic Studies (IJRIS) focuses on investigating critical ideas, strategic and contemporary issues, global trends, evidence-based theory and practice, as well as innovations and developments (novelties) in the field of islamic studies (Qur'an, Hadith, Aqidah (theology), Sharia (fiqh), and Akhlak (Sufism). IJRIS accepts original manuscripts in the form of research articles, literature reviews, conceptual papers, case studies, and technical papers related to islamic, including but not limited to the following areas:

• Scriptural and Textual Studies: Quranic studies, Hadith studies, Tafsir (exegesis), textual criticism, and translation of classical Islamic texts.
• Theology and Philosophy: Islamic theology (Kalam), Sufism, Islamic philosophy, and comparative religious thought.
• Law and Jurisprudence: Fiqh, Sharia, Islamic legal theory, and contemporary applications of Islamic law.
• History and Civilization: Political, social, intellectual, and cultural history of Muslim societies; Islamic art, architecture, and material culture; Islam in global and regional contexts, including diaspora studies.
• Education and Sciences: Islamic education, historical contributions of Islamic civilization to science and technology, and integration with modern knowledge.
• Islamic Economics, Business, and Finance: Principles of Islamic economics, Sharia-compliant finance, banking, investment, insurance (Takaful), business ethics, corporate governance, entrepreneurship, and interdisciplinary research linking traditional principles with modern economic systems.
• Contemporary Issues: Politics, governance, economics, finance, environmental ethics, digital culture, gender, human rights, and social justice in Muslim societies.
• Language and Philology: Classical Arabic, Islamic terminologies, linguistic analysis, and philological studies.
