The Indonesian Journal of Research in Islamic Studies (IJRIS) adheres to the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), which advocates for free and unrestricted access to scholarly research. In line with this commitment, IJRIS provides immediate open access to all published content, based on the belief that unrestricted access to research enhances the global exchange of knowledge, encourages scholarly collaboration, and supports the advancement of education and practice in Islamic studies.

All articles in IJRIS are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0). This license permits users to share, copy, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original authors and that derivative works are licensed under identical terms. Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant IJRIS the right of first publication. Through this open access policy, IJRIS seeks to eliminate financial and legal barriers to knowledge while upholding high standards of ethical, accessible, and responsible academic publishing.
